Shaddura: Added balancing info on custom Protection and Piercing formulas

Auranogi contains a lot of custom content, dungeons, items, quests and more.

==Custom Features ==

===System Changes===
* Party quests can be completed alone.

* Dungeon pass lower limits are ignored, meaning that all dungeon variants can be entered from 1 to the stated party size limit.
** E.g: A dungeon pass that says "For 4" can be entered with less than 4 party members.

* Pet summon timers reset upon summoning, giving virtually infinite summon time.
** If a pet's summon time runs out, you will have to wait until the server reset time before the pet can be summoned again.

* [[Pon]], which has a chance to be dropped by all enemies, enables one to buy items that were typically associated with premium currency, such as: character cards, pets, dyes, fashion, gear slots, and more.
** You can find the premium currency store inside of [[Coco's Boutique]], which can be accessed by talking to [[Makenna]] or through the building beside the [[mww:Dunbarton|Dunbarton]] Town Office.

* Premium Service is enabled for all accounts permanently.

* Crafting recipes can now reach a cap of 100% instead of 99%, the client will however still cap at displaying 99% success rate.

* Weight gain/loss happens immediately rather than the next server tick.
** More weight can be lost or gained compared to official.

* Part-time Job totals do not decay like it does on live servers, meaning any amount of Part-time Jobs you accrue, it keeps that total.

===Balance Changes===
*Customized [[Auranogi#Server_Rates| EXP & AP rates]].

* A custom drop system is used that rolls for each item separately, rather than a weight-based system; unlike official servers, monsters can drop more than one item on death, increasing drop rates overall and greatly increasing the efficacy of the drop rate bonus on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

*[[Dual Gun Skills]] are implemented and have been adjusted for balance with pre-dynamic combat.

*Combat [[Alchemy Skills]] scale with only one stat with various ratios, rather than an average of all 3.

*Giants can learn play dead and rock throwing.

*No Mana Evaporation

*[[Final Hit]] receives reduced stun when triggering heavy stander, based on the weapon's attack speed.

*[[Arrow Revolver]] has no load time between shots, allowing subsequent shots to be fired instantly.

*Support Shot gives 20% of the maximum buff when buffing your own melee skills.

*Nao soul stones Heal 70% HP instead of 100% HP upon revival, Heal 50% stamina instead of setting stamina to 100%, Heal 50% Mana instead of healing 100%, Heal 55% Wounds instead of 100% Wounds, and do not provide blessings.

*Switching titles has a cooldown of 15 seconds since last combat.

*Holy waters and Holy Flame application time has been reduced to 0.5 seconds.

*Each point of Protection decreases critical chance by 1.75% instead of 2%

*Piercing levels are rebalanced inbetween the G14 and G18 formulas
{| class="wikitable"
|+
|-
! Piercing Level !! Defence !! Protection
|-
| 1 || 5 || 3
|-
| 2 || 10 || 6
|-
| 3 || 15 || 9
|-
| 4 || 20 || 12
|-
| 5 || 25 || 15
|-
| 6 || 30 || 18
|-
| 7 || 35 || 21
|-
| 8 || 40 || 24
|-
| 9+ || 45 || 27
|}

===Custom Additions===
* A dungeon re-entry system has been implemented. If you disconnect while in a dungeon you may return upon next successful log-in. (Currently unavailable for Shadow Missions)
** <b>Note:</b> If you log in and disconnect again before re-entry, you will not be eligible for re-entry.

*One may change their transformation appearance to any previous rank by selecting the title corresponding to that rank from the titles menu.

*Some [[User Commands]] are available, including a feature to compensate for user lag due to latency from high ping.

*One may turn in all fomor scrolls at once through an automated process at various town NPCs: Eavan (Dunbarton) Researcher (Dunbarton, near Poulnabrone Stone) Aodhan (Emain Macha) Andras (Taillteann) and Lezzaro (Tara).

*Field bosses drop chests that have rewards that vary depending on the region.

*A Guild Bank system has been implemented, accessible at [[mww:Eavan|Eavan]] in [[mww:Dunbarton|Dunarton]], which allows for trading of tradable items via the Guild Bank which is shared between all Guild members.

*[[mww:Edern|Edern]] has an option added to refine all spirit fossils in your inventory.

*Taillteann has a platform near its Stonehenge and the shadow mission bulletin in town that will freely allow you to warp between the two.

</div>
==Introduction==
This guide's purpose is to assist in gathering leather, and provide the best spots/rates for different qualities. This guide is useful for getting the fundamental materials for leather [[Weaving]] requirements, and overall leather strap creation efficiency. This guide will not provide key details for training Life Skill requirements pertaining to leather crafting. Please see [[Skill Guides]] for that information.

== Drop Rate Bonus ==
<big>'''Tuesdays''' (Server Time) provide '''1.5x drop rates''' from '''monsters in Dungeons'''.</big>
<br>
Make sure to utilize Tuesdays to get better drop rates. In other words, Tuesdays are your best friend.
== Leather Refining ==
As you collect different qualities of leather, you may end up having extra or more of a certain type that you no longer need.<br>
This is where the [[Leather Refining Kit]] comes in.<br>

This kit alters the quality of the leather you carry via these conversion recipes:<br>
{{InfoTable
| Title = Leather Refining Kit Recipes
| Rows =
{{InfoTable/Row|Title= [[File:Leather Refining Kit.png|link=Leather Refining Kit]]|Content=
* Cheap Leather x2 -> Common Leather x1
* Common Leather x5 -> Fine Leather x1
* Fine Leather x3 -> Finest Leather x1
}}
}}
<small>* Be aware that you can only utilize this method with Rank 9+ [[Weaving]].</small>
<br>
<br>

This method allows for much more flexibility, letting you run lower-end dungeons to convert them to higher quality leathers. This is not only an alternative for those who struggle to run through tougher dungeons that feature higher percent(%) drop rates, but since most monsters drop multiple qualities of leather, it can be used to further increase rates of higher-grade leather.
== General Information ==

'''Cave of Trials''' is a dungeon available during the [[Anniversary Event]] in September, containing 10 floors or "stages" as described in-game (though technically each stage is it's own dungeon), each stage growing in difficulty.

== Gaining Access ==

To access the '''Cave of Trials''', during the event, speak to [[Makenna]] about "Current Events" and then "Cave of Trials", you will be teleported to the lobby.
==Rewards==

=== Anniversary Points ===

Each stage rewards points for clearing it, and upon doing so, you are given the option to continue to the next stage or retire early.

If you choose to retire early you get bonus points for the clear, but forfeit the rest of the dungeon.

For example:

* Clearing the whole dungeon from Stage 1 and retiring at final stage, rewards a total of 32600 points.
* Clearing from stage 6 and retiring at final stage rewards a total of 30700 points.
* Clearing from stage 4 and retiring at stage 8 rewards a total of 12100.

{| class="wikitable"
|-
<br>
<br>
== Basic Information ==
* Pons are a currency used to construct [[mww:Homestead|Homestead]] items, purchase items and pets from [[Coco's Boutique]], or purchase [[mww:Partners|Partners]] from [[Ciara]].
* Players can check their Pon balance by clicking the Dressing Room icon on their hotbar.
* Pons are shared between all characters on your account.
* Pons are obtained primarily by defeating monsters, but can also be obtained from certain quests.
** Pons can be dropped by any monster in the game at a fixed rate.
** The amount of Pons dropped by enemies is determined by the finisher's relative [[mww:Combat Power|Combat Power]] ''and'' the enemy's absolute Combat Power.
*** The amount of Pons that are dropped are only affected by the player's <b><i>true</i></b> [[mww:Combat Power|Combat Power]]. Enchants that change the player's [[mww:Combat Power|Combat Power]] will <b><i>not</i></b> affect the amount of Pons dropped by monsters.
*** The formula is currently unknown.

== Trivia ==
* Pons are one of the oldest items implemented in [[Auranogi]]. [Citation needed]
* Pons used to be identical to Gold when dropped. They were changed to blue to make them distinguishable. [https://discord.com/channels/229447510651830273/350666607862874113/495514711928995856 [Source<nowiki>]</nowiki>]
* Dropped Pons exist as an item, having an inventory icon and a max stack of 50,000, but as they are deleted and added to your Pon balance immediately when picked up, the item itself is unobtainable.
* Certain customization options within the Dressing Room will still charge players a small amount of Pons for changing to them. This is assumed to be a bug.

== N+1 / N+WM ==

If you delay each hit of your normal attack combo slightly, it is possible for the enemy's knockdown gauge to recover slightly, allowing one additional hit, commonly referred to as "N+1". You can also use fast-loading skills such as Stomp or Windmill to extend or finish the normal attack combo, referred to as "N+WM". It is risky to use against enemies with heavy stander, but N+WM is very effective in multi-aggro situations.

== Smashmill ==

Smashmill can be used against almost everything, except for enemies that do not knockback.

The first step is to corner the enemy against a wall, this can be done with just WM -> move a little closer -> WM, or other options such as windblast, using pets, etc.

Against enemies that knockdown, using Assault Slash is also a great way to get in range, one combo can be:

* Smash
* WM
* Assault Slash
* WM
* Smashmill (assuming the previous steps got the enemy close enough to the wall)

Once the enemy is cornered, you have to WM -> Smash -> Repeat. '''However''', the trick here is to ''not'' smash as soon as possible, as you will cause the enemy to bounce, instead wait a bit, pay attention to the stability bar below the enemy, and smash when you see it decreasing. ''Do'' WM as soon as possible as the timing can be very tight here.

You can watch a recording of this being done [https://youtu.be/TY2m7QSKT-0 here].

Other things you will see in this recording are:

* Handling aggro with pets.
* Using Smash against an enemy moving to attack you by causing a quick stun with a pet.

=== Smash + Flameburst ===

A giant-exclusive alternative to smashmill. As giants can wield a 2H sword with a guard cylinder, it is effective to use Smash and Flameburst in a similar fashion to smashmill. This is useful as there is no chance of causing a bounce, reducing the difficulty of execution, and you will not incur the HP cost of Windmill.

== Magnum Spam ==

Easily done by elves, though humans can achieve this if their latency is ''very'' low.

As with Smashmill, you do ''not'' want to Magnum Shot as soon as possible, and timing is important, except for humans, who have a very tight window and might need to Magnum Shot as soon as their aim chance maxes out, or even before, making it risky for them.

For timing, watch the stability bar, and magnum shot when you see it roughly 3/4 full.

Elves can also magnum spam on the move and do not need to corner the enemy against a wall!

You can watch a recording of this being done [https://youtu.be/JwAZlmeElnM here].

== Fighter Combo against Heavy Stander ==

Attempting to attack with fighter combo against an enemy with heavy stander can be dangerous, as if they ping twice in a row you are in for trouble.

However, there is a way around this, with the usage of a pet, and starting with Smash, WM or Magnum Shot, other skills that cause enough stability damage could work as well.

* Smash or Magnum Shot
* Order pet to attack
* Start Fighter combo

You can watch a recording of this being done [https://youtu.be/Vc8q66A2eq8 here]. In this recording you will see:

* What will happen when you fighter combo against 2 pings.
* Starting the combo with a smash, you will see a successful full combo.

== Smash against instinctive reaction ==

Using smash (or normal attacks, assuming no heavy stander) against enemies with Instinctive Reaction can be dangerous, however pets can come to the rescue again.

Simply have your pet attack first and quickly follow up with smash, timing is key.

Be careful about positioning as well, you don't want to be in the cone of AoE that the enemy will hit your pet with, you could get hit as well.
== Misc Custom Features ==

* Party quests can be completed solo.
* All dungeon passes can be used solo, e.g: Even if dungeon pass is for 2 or for 4
* Pet summon timers reset upon summoning, giving virtually infinite summon time (unless you never unsummon the pet for its full timer)
* Taillteann has a platform near its stonehenge and the shadow mission bulletin in town that will freely allow you to warp between the two, allowing for faster shadow mission access.
* A custom drop system is used that rolls for each item separately, rather than a weight-based system; unlike official servers, monsters can drop more than one item on death, increasing drop rates overall and greatly increasing the efficacy of the drop rate bonus on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
